Hey kid self! I'm 30 now, so I guess it's time to check in. You've written 7 novels now, although half of them are fanfics. You've drawn some great stuff, and you've made it to a better time in your life. You're a great-nuncle now, and have 3 grand-niblings. Jesus, never expected that did you? People know you now, for your help blogs on roleplaying sites. You're still living with Impostor Syndrome, you don't think you're really that cool but... the more people recognize you and what you've done the more it feels good.
You've drawn so much more crap, and pushed your style as you went. Turns out, you can live on your own really well. You planted a garden! It's huge, and thriving, with all those herbs you wanted as a kid. You finally managed to keep peppermint alive, after so many plants in a row trying to do it. You're a hedgewix, you use plants to heal yourself, and others. You do spells, and you are a follower of Loki and Bast. You... actually kinda knew that was coming, didn't you? You used to research those two when you were a kid, well, they sure found you.
You have these people in your life who really matter, and after you thought the world was going to end when you stepped away from the people who had you locked down? (I see you 25 year old self, I remember what you went through too.) You found out not everyone is out to get you. That you can make friends, communicate, and socialize without knocking everything down and destroying it. You have some pretty long term friendships, some really strong ones, and people who you love to death.
You've gotten into cooking, even more than you had been. You've cooked so many things you didn't know how to! Tamales, hot and sour soup, shakshuka, curry, chicken tikki masala, steamed pork buns, old fashioned bread from grains you harvested and ground yourself. You have carved stone, wood, bone, and created jewelry and decor that hangs out all over your house. You have bundles of herbs drying hanging on racks, just like you always wanted. Plus, you still wear a ton of black, Mom was wrong about it being a phase.
Thank you, all your reading and excitement for life gave me the tools to make myself better and stronger. I know more, I can help others, I can make people smile. I know that was important to you, and it happens. People laugh, and smile, and feel GOOD around you. You did it. You matter. Thank you.
